•Simple and low-cost electrodeposition technique.•Follows modified Bloch law at m = 2.•fcc with secondary γ phase.•Resonance field Hr is mainly attributed to the difference of the anisotropy field Hk.•FC and ZFC declined progressively for the temperature rise.
