摘要
•Nanocomposites with Gd2O3 NPs embedded into regular pores of amorphous SiO2 matrix.•Magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect studied by heat capacity measurements.•At cryogenic temperature, the nanocomposites exhibit large magnetocaloric effect.•These are promising candidates for magnetic refrigeration at cryogenic temperature.
