摘要
The present study was aimed to determine the significance of dose by comparing acute toxicological potential of ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) (30 nm) with its bulk materials ZnCl2. Sprague Dawley rats, 8 to 9 weeks old, were administered with 20 mg/kg body weight (bw) of ZnO nanoparticles (30 nm) with its bulk materials ZnCl2 suspended in distilled water once via tail vein injection. The liver, lung, and spleen could be possible target organs for accumulation of NPs and their bulk counterparts. Results showed that the nanoparticles-form material was more toxic than the bulk materials, which may due to the properties of nanoparticles.
