Coupling Of The Drais Model To The Eurad Model And Analysis Of Subscale Phenomena

The aim of this project was the development of a coupling procedure between the European scale model EURAD and the mesoscale model system KAMM/DRAIS. The coupling procedure allows to simulate the meteorological and the concentration fields with better resolution in a subarea of the EURAD model domain. This is necessary especially in areas of complex terrain or in industrialized, highly populated regions, By a comparison between the results of the EURAD model and the KAMM/DRAIS model subscale effects caused by the different resolution of the topography and the emissions should be quantified and analysed.
