An Experimental Study On Sewage Treatment With Unburned Biological Ceramsite

Recently, unburned biological ceramsite has been widely applied in the field of wastewater treatment. In the study, three different COD solubility was designed, 383mg/L, 766mg/L, 1532mg/L respectively. We recorded COD and ammonia nitrogen solubility everyday in order to research COD load impact on COD and ammonia nitrogen removal efficiency. The removal efficiency of COD and ammonia nitrogen by homemade ceramsite in low solubility was 93% and 94%. However, the business ceramsite was 87% and 82%. In high solubility, homemade ceramsite removal efficiency was 68% and 46% but business ceramsite was 55% and38%. So it was obviously that homemade ceramsite was better than business not only in wasterwater treatment but also in anti-COD load performance. Of course, the application prospect of homemade ceramsite is broader than business ceramsite.
