摘要
Paratuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP), which is characterized by granulomatous enteritis, its presence in animal productions leads to significant economic losses, therefore is relevant to understand MAP epidemiology. The objective was to determine MAP seropositivity in goats and cattle from San Luis Potosi state (SLP) Altiplano region using ELISA-P35 test. Goat and cattle herds from different municipalities were selected. A 10% of each herd's population were sampled, in total 322 samples were collected, 131 goats and 191 bovine samples. The ELISA-P35 test was carried out to determine seropositivity, MAP prevalence was 83.2% in goats and 7.3% in cattle. The statistical difference between seropositivity and herd provenance was evaluated by X-2 test, finding a statistical difference in cattle (p = 0.0002), while there was no difference in goats (p = 0.939). Our findings provide relevant information on Paratuberculosis' seropositivity behaviour in SLP animal productions.
