Of The Switched Reluctance Motor Drive At Four Quadrants Based On Intel 87c196kc Single Chip Microprocessor

The paper presents the developed Switched Reluctance motor drive operated at four quadrants. The control strategy at four quadrants and the closed-loop rotor speed control of the drive implemented by the digital sliding mode variable structure control algorithm were given. The component parts of the system such as the motor, the power converter, the schematic diagram of the controller based on Intel 87C196KC single chip microprocessor, and some diagrams of the software program were described. Their photographs were also given. The experiments of the developed prototype were made at the different rotor speeds and the loads. The experimental tested results of the prototype were presented.
