The (T,He-3) Measurement At Intermediate Energy At Nscl.
INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON NEW FACET OF SPIN GIANT RESONANCES IN NUCLEI(1998)
Abstract
Zero-degree cross sections have been measured for (t,He-3) reaction at the bombarding energy of 381 MeV. The triton beam was produced by (alpha,tp) breakup reaction (E-alpha = 620 MeV). The yield of tritons was 4.5 x 10(6) particles/sec. with 70(e)nA primary alpha beam. Dispersion matching technique was employed to obtain good resolution. The resolution of 780 keV (FWHM) was achieved. The Gamow-Teller strength in several light nuclei were deduced from zero-degree cross sections.
