Resonator Fiber-Optic Gyroscope With Interferometric Detection

Firstly, a new type of resonator fiber-optic gyroscope (RFOG), i.e., the resonator fiber-optic gyroscope with interferometric detection (RFOG-ID), was put forward. Secondly, the work mechanism of RFOG-ID was elaborated. Thirdly, the critical characteristic of RFOG-ID was discussed. Fourthly, the measuring error induced by the RFOG-ID light source with lager linewidth was analyzed in detail. To some extent, RFOG-ID may solve two intractable issues of traditional RFOGs, which are concerned with the gyroscope light source and coherent noises.
