摘要
One of the most prominent attacks against web applications is the cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. Whenever a server gives a client access to any website or web application via cyberspace, irrespective of the environment in which the service is offered, a security threat such as XSS remains. This is because of the way that the XSS attacks operate by taking advantage of the client-server model and their communications through cyberspace. While a cyber-physical system (CPS) is considered a multidimensional environment combining various concepts, it would also have some cybercomponents and a cyberspace-like virtual world within it. Our concern is thus to analyze the current experiences of and proposals for tackling XSS attacks in cyberspace and to offer an effective solution to mitigate such attacks. In this chapter, alongside showing the effectiveness of our approach, we review some prominent past efforts of defending against XSS attacks.
