Design Of Smart Meter System Based On Thin C/S Mode

With the development of smart grid, the demands of electricity metering on user-side are raised constantly in intelligent, interactive and real-time. Taken account of the actual situation that in most of smart meters for the current system, the measurement procedures and control programs are running on the same hardware, this paper designed a smart meter system based on Thin C/S mode. The system separated the implementation of metering program and non-metering program into different hardware, presented the concept of smart meter control server, and realized the concentrate management of application programs. Under the environment of Mesh-WiFi based wireless ad hoc network and IP network, the system flexibly realized the communication among the power load management system, smart meter control server and the terminals.
