Abstract
In this study, the effect of electret and 10% ethyl oleate on meloxicam skin permeation was studied by improved Franz diffusion cell, UV measurement and HPLC analysis. The results indicated that electret had better enhancing effect on the skin permeation of meloxicam than that of 10% ethyl oleate. Moreover, electret and 10% ethyl oleate had an incorporative effect that could lead to a stable transdermal flux of meloxicam of 6.531 mu g/cm(2).h and 79% of the drug permeating through the skin after applying the patch on skin for 6h. Conclusion: electret meloxicam patch had better transdermal enhancing effect.
