Abstract
Nanographite prepared through detonation with negative oxygen balance explosive in closed containers has been introduced in this work. X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscope observation (TEM), laser Raman scattering, BET surface area, Small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) were used to character grains size of nanographite particles. Result shows that nanographite prepared through detonation features in hexagonal graphite structure. Its shape is spherical or ellipsoid. The grain size of nanographite distributes in range of 4-9 nm and the average diameter of grains is 8.7 nm. In the five methods, average diameter measured from XRD is the smallest; results via the other four methods are fundamentally consistent.
