Abstract
Power load forecasting is the basic work of power grid construction planning. Accurate load forecasting is a key requirement for modern power system planning and economic and safe operation.This paper first introduces the background and significance of power load forecasting, research status at home and abroad, and review of power load forecasting methods, and focuses on the load forecasting method of particle swarm optimization support vector machine, and proposes an improved particle swarm optimization prediction model.The method is simple and easy to implement and has a stronger global optimization capability. The load forecasting method of particle swarm optimization support vector machine is used to predict the load in Weibei area, and good prediction results are also obtained.
