Self-Generated Electricity Forecasting In Power System In Steel Plant

A power system analysis and decision platform for steel plants was developed, and a power production system modeling was studied in this paper. The actual production data of a typical integrated steel plant of 15 million ton of steel production were chosen, and its power generation capacity was forecasted. Without considering power generating of outsourcing thermal coal, the steel plant cannot be self-sufficient, needing about 637 million kWh electricity purchased; if considering power generating of outsourcing thermal coal, the steel plant can achieve the goal of self-sufficiency with 1205 million kWh for external supply.
