Abstract
Under the background of energy shortage and air pollution, how to implement the optimal allocation of power in the world has been becoming a hot topic. In this paper, the feasibility and key problems of the Asia-Europe intercontinental power transmission system is analyzed in detail. First of all, the energy situation of the sending-end of Asia-Europe intercontinental transmission system is introduced based on the energy supplying and load demand. Then, the energy supply and demand of receiving-end is also studied based on the two different scenarios. The key technologies and possible transmission schemes are also proposed. Next, the comprehensive assessment system is built to evaluate the feasibility and practicability of Asia-Europe intercontinental transmission system. Finally, some useful suggestions are also proposed in order to promote the construction of Asia-Europe intercontinental transmission system.
