Abstract
The traditional variance ratio F-test method usually takes contribution value of F-distribution as critical value. According to the problem of reality, sometimes, the critical value of F-test is very small which may cause to abandon the facts. For this reason, the optimization of the critical value of variance ratio F-test is discussed, and then error factor k is introduced which integrated with the contribution value of F-distribution as new critical value of F-test. Furthermore, the improvement of variance ratio F-test is put forward which is applied to initial point's usability analysis of a practical GPS network. Large numbers of data analysis show that the improved F-test method is feasible and effective.
