Combined Surgery And Chemotherapy For The Treatment Of Primary Intestinal Malignant Lymphoma

Objective: To evaluate the role of adjuvant chemotherapy in gastrointestinal malignant lymphoma.Method: Randomised controlled trial comparing surgical resection to resection and chemotherapy with Cyclophosphamide, Epirubicin, Vincristine, Prednisone and Bleomycin.Results: Both event-free survival and overall survival were significantly improved by adjuvant chemotherapy.Conclusions: Chemotherapy improves the results of surgery for GI lymphomas.
