Empirical Investigation On The Relationship Between Ceo Tenure And Firm Performance In China

摘要
Based upon the cross-sectional data of 197 Chinese manufacturing companies listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange, this paper examine how the relationship between CEO tenure and firm performance through multiple regression. We find that the CEO tenure has an inverted U-shaped relationship with firm performance, which partially supports the season of a CEO's tenure theory. The theoretical and practical implications of the result are discussed.
