A New Explanation Of Neutron Halo

The key for the present explanation of neutron halo observed in light exotic nuclei is the observation that the adiabatic approximation is not valid for these nuclei. Hence, for these nuclei intrinsic motion and internal relative rotation are coupled even in their ground states. Good agreements with experimental data are observed for both binding energies and radii with no use of adjustable parameters for all five nuclei examined, namely He-6,He-8 and Be-10,Be-12,Be-14.
