Abstract

This note reports for the first time the presence of the parasitic hirudinide Trachelobdella lubrica (Grube, 1840) on the serranid fish Serranus cabrilla (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Banks of the Strait of Sicily (central Mediterranean).
