Abstract
The redclaw crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus is native of the tropical region of the Northeast of Australia, and was introduced to Mexico being in rivers that arrive at the coastal zones and epicontinentals water bodies like lakes and prey. Parameters were registered physical-chemistries during the months of January to August of the 2006 of the River Las Estacas, Morelos. Mexico. The gonadic cycle was determined establishing five stages in females and two in males, being observed two periods of reproduction in January and April-June. A slight greater amount of females than male of Cherax quadricarinatus was registered (1: 1.06). In the population of redclaw crayfish four stages of development settled down (cria=0.1-3 g: juvenil=3.1 - 10 g, preadult =10.1-30 g and adult =30, 1-160 g), recognizing a greater proportion of organisms in stage of preadult development (10, 1-30 g).
