Yefficient Synthesis Of Diaromatic Sulfones Catalyzed By Zro2/S2o82- Solid Superacid

The synthesis of diaryl sulfones from arensulfonyl chloride with aromatic hydrocarbons is conducted under Friedel-Crafts conditions in the absence of solvent using ZrO2/S2O82- solid superacid as catalyst in 79% similar to 93% yields. This method is manipulative simple and the catalyst is low-cost, facile, high-active, environment-friendly and reusable.
