Study Of Market Power Regulation In Power Market

Based on the mechanism of market power and its maintenance in power market, this paper studies the method of the identification of generator market power from two aspects: (i) single-generator market power, (ii) generator alliance market power. Index system is established to identify the market power of single generator. Qualitative Analysis of influencing factors of generator alliance and Quantitative Analysis of correlation degree of generators' bidding price is made to identify the generators which ally to abuse market power. Finally empirical analysis on the identification method is illustrated.
