The paper introduces the theory, the study process and structure of the example monitoring system. The theory of the system is the heat transfer equation on line heat source. It abilities the stable stage of the equation for calculating the soil water velocity and the unstable stable stage for calculating the soil thermal conductivity and volumetric water capacity. The main instrument stresses the design of the hardware. The core of the hardware is MSC1210Y5 microcontroller. The structure of the heat pulse sensor and working process is described.
