Stratigraphic Section Of North Baikal Depression In Connection With The Project Of Drilling Of A 1000 M Deep Borehole (Baikal Drilling Project)

The paper presents a designed stratigraphic column of Cenozoic deposits which make up the southern part of the North Baikal depression, where drilling of a 1000 m deep borehole is projected. The designed borehole section is based on interpretation of seismostratigraphic data, analysis of the Baikal depression evolution in the Cenozoic, and data of deep investigations on submersible apparatuses Pisces. Three variants of positioning a drilling point are proposed.
