Abstract
Microfluidic nets are very popular in the micro analytical chemistry field. Several kinds of method are used for manufacturing microfluidic nets such as etching glass, silicon, LIGA and so on. In this paper we discussed the mechanism of micro milling for microfluidic nets from cutting force measurement with different cutting parameters such as velocity, feed speed, cutting depth, diameter of cutting tool, cutting materials. Two kinds of materials PMMA and brass are used in our experiments. With the phi0.4mm micro milling tool, the mean cutting force is 0.2 N. An example of involute equalizer is also given in this paper.
