Ibm-2 Calculation Of Band Mixing In Ba-132

The band crossing in Ba-132 has been investigated by using the interacting boson model. A broken neutron pair has been coupled to a collective boson core. The boson-fermion interaction hamiltonian contains terms which can transform a boson into a pair of quasiparticles and vice versa. The parameters were partly determined by fitting the collective states of Ba-132,Ba-134 and the yrast states of 132Ba. The energy backbending has been satisfactorily reproduced. Good agreement of the electromagnetic moments has been reached. The structure of the wave functions has been discussed.
