Quality Of Hospital Performance In Isolated Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery

Objective: To study the quality of hospital performance of adults patients undergoing isolated coronary bypass graft surgeryPatients: Patients aged >17 years old undergoing isolated coronary surgery from January 2010 to December 2013 were studied. We analyzed surgical procedure, postoperative complications and hospital mortality.Results: Mean age of the 698 included patients was 65 +/- 10.3 years. Three more coronary bypass gratis were done in 82% patients. Acute atrial fibrillation (13%) was the leading postoperative complication, acute myocardial infarction 2.9%, pneumonia 1.3% and stroke 0.4%. Hospital mortality was 1,7% (CI 95%: 0.8 - 2.96).Conclusions: Hospital mortality and postoperative complications were low in patients undergoing isolated coronary surgery.
