Layer-By-Layer Assembly: A Way For Multicomposite Ultrathin Films

Efforts to achieve layered nanoarchitectures are summarized on basis of layer-by-layer assembly, and functional assemblies of these tailored architectures are discussed. With in-depth study on relationship between the microscopic layered architecture and macroscopic function of supramolecular assemblies, it is anticipated that one could obtain miniature device or machine of high efficiency through integration of the assembling process and device fabrication.
