To study the response sensitivity of different seismic attributes to subsided column, and optimize chosen seismic attributes, so that to improve prospecting accuracy, 3D seismic simulation technique was adopted to forward modeling subsided columns with different diameters, and then the modeling results were interpreted by conventional seismic interpretation and attributes seismic interpretation, especially focused on analyzing of the characteristics of the response of different seismic attributes on subsided columns, and optimize chosen attributes. Through comparison of interpretation results, we found that seismic attributes technique can better recognize small subsided columns. Using the attributes that most sensitive to modeling results, interpreted one small collapse column that can not be interpreted by conventional seismic. The result is validated by excavation latter.
