摘要
The response of a room at low frequencies is strongly affected by room resonances and strongly depends on the receiver and sound source locations. Helmholtz resonators are well known acoustic elements that can be used to introduce sound absorption in a frequency limited band and are therefore suitable for the low frequency room response optimization. The study is concerned with experimentally testing the effect of different types and numbers of Helmholtz resonators on the low frequency response of a specific room. The reverberation time and other acoustic parameters are being observed in multiple positions. In such a way local and averaged behavior is observed. Measurements are performed by changing many experimental parameters, such as the tunning and the amount of damping of the Helmholtz resonators. In such a way large amount of data is acquired providing insight into the interdependencies of experimental parameters and their importance for the low frequency room response optimization.
