Sellar Angiomatous Meningioma Treated By Radiosurgery. Case Report

Meningiomas are mesodermal cerebral tumors accounting for 13%-19% of all cerebral tumors. About 40% of them occur at the base of the cranium, in the sellar region, and 10% in the parasellar regions, including the region of the sphenoid sinus, olfactory bulb, tubercular and sellar diaphragm. The case of a patient with a sellar angiomatous meningioma who was submitted to transphenoidal surgery followed by stereotactic radiosurgery. The evolution after the treatment was satisfactory, with complete remission of the headaches and ptosis.
