Simultaneous Amplification Of A Recombination Pumped Hydrogen-Like Fluorine And Sodium Balmer-Alpha Laser-Produced By A 20 Ps, 0.53 Mu-M Laser-Light
INSTITUTE OF PHYSICS CONFERENCE SERIES(1992)
Abstract
We report the simultaneous amplification of H-like Na and F Balmer-alpha lines (Wavelengths: 5.42 and 8.09 nm, respectively) pumped by a 30 J/20 ps/0.53 mum line focused laser light. The time- and space-integrated Na and F Balmer-alpha gain coefficients were measured to be 6.8 and 6.0 cm- , respectively. The space resolved on axis spectrographs show that the peak gain of the F line is located 100 mum from the original position while that of Na is 60 mum which is reasonable from the plasma hydrodynamic point of view. The fine structure of a F amplified line was also measured with the high resolution spectrometer.
