Study on Conductivity of Tungsten Disulfide Nanosheet at THz Band

Tungsten disulfide (WS 2 ) has attracted great interest in the increasing research field of 2D materials due to the many outstanding optoelectronic peculiarities, which gives the possibility of achieving WS 2 field effect transistors or optoelectronic devices. Based on terahertz spectroscopy system, terahertz transmission spectra on the tungsten disulfide samples with monolayer film on Si substrate are obtained. The conductivity of WS 2 at some typical regions is fitted by Drude-Smith formula to quantitatively compare the transmission measurements. The effect of temperature modulation on WS 2 conductivity is also studied, which indicates the conductivity in some certain frequency ranges can be enhanced or reduced by temperature modulating. This paper can provide some experimental basis for the study of WS 2 electrical and optical properties and design references for the WS 2 terahertz devices in the terahertz regime.
