In order to compensate the harmonic current in the power system effectively with active power filter (APF), according to the PWM control rule, capacitor voltage of inverter dc side must remain constant, which provides a voltage reference. The fuzzy variable membership functions are determined and fuzzy control rules are established by applying the fuzzy adaptive PI control and its characteristics of independence of the controlled object and establishing accurate mathematical model on the basis of the study of the PI control method. At the same time, the compare analysis between PI control method and fuzzy adaptive PI control method is done and using MATLAB simulation software to simulate the dc side voltage, the analysis results show that fuzzy adaptive PI control method is fast response, small overshoot and strong robustness, which provides the reference for the study of control stability of dc side voltage.
