Catalan Sign Language Teaching As L1 And L2. Teaching Experiences
LLENGUA SOCIETAT I COMUNICACIO(2018)
摘要
How to teach a language that is mainly known intuitively? This situation has been experienced by the first generations of sign language teachers, who have reinvented themselves as teachers when they realized that the most widespread methodology, that is the instruction of vocabulary, was not the best option, and when they discovered the grammar of their language. In this article we present the current situation of sign language teaching. We also describe some instruction practices that are carried out in the teaching of Catalan Sign Language (LSC) as a first language (L1) for Deaf children and as a second language (L2) of adult hearing people. Finally, we present some proposals to improve the field of LSC instruction and sign language teaching in general.
