An Experimental Perusal of Impedance Plethysmography for Biomedical Application

Impedance plethysmography (IPG) is one of the most important techniques for clinical care as it noninvasively performs all the medical measurements and provides the suitable observations about the disorders of the subject under test. This paper presents the implementation of whole IPG system whose development phase comprises designing of IPG system and thereafter testing of the subjects under test, like human, feto-maternal system, papaya, orange, and potato. The recorded results are then analyzed according to the current and frequency variations. The proposed IPG system is very economical, portable, and sensitive to the shapes of the subjects as it requires only four electrodes that need to be attached to the subject under test while monitoring.
