摘要
This paper reveals evidences of permafrost degradation or fusion due to the temperature increase and its association with discharges of violent debris flow in the Central Andes region (30 degrees-32 degrees S). This result emphasizes the relationship between slope collapses and temperature allowing to link the slopes instability in the Central Andes to paleo-environmental conditions. Several landslides have been linked to interglacial periods with few local paleoclimatic records. These results also highlight the need to undertake this type of studies in order to reduce the vulnerability of the Andean communities and implement preventive measures to reduce the evident associated risk in the context of global warming.
