Abstract
The mathematical model of swarm robotic system can predict the collective behavior of the system, analyze the effect that individual characteristic has on the collective behavior, which can guide the improvement of individual control strategy. The mathematical model of foraging based on division strategy is proposed, which is composed of a series of coupled differential rate equations. The mathematical model is used to analyze the time evolution of the number of robots in different states and the number of undelivered foods. The performance of foraging based on homogeneous strategy and division strategy is investigated utilizing mathematical models.
