摘要
Atopic dermatitis is a common allergic skin disease characterized by eczematous lesions and pruritus. Experimental animal models are essential tools to study the underlying pathogenic mechanisms of atopic dermatitis. This chapter describes a mouse model with spontaneous manifestation of atopic dermatitis-like skin lesions (NC/Nga mice) and a protein-induced mouse model of atopic dermatitis (ovalbumin model) and discusses the role of the histamine receptor (HR) H1R and H4R antagonists in these models.
