摘要
Germplasm fingerprint identification is a major concern for biodiversity protection and breeding bioengineering. Using isozyme and other biochemistry markers to identify germplasm has attracted increased interest. Germplasm polymorphism of the cultivar Raplzanus sativus cv. Weixian, a good and traditional 'fruit' radish cultivar, from different regions was assessed by a combined use of isozymes of acid phosphatase, esterase and peroxidase. The combination of the three enzymes provided unique isozyme banding patterns for all the accessions from different cultivation regions, indicating genetic biodiversity and the regional differentiation of this cultivar, meanwhile, indicating the efficiency of the three-enzyme system in identifying germplasm diversity and the potential to develop biochemistry fingerprints within the cultivar level. The three-enzyme system thus can be efficiently applied in identity and breeding of this radish cultivar germplasm.
