Abstract
The full-time school project aims to change students' permanence from five to nine hours per day, with this change it is possible for adolescents to have different levels of physical activity and sedentary behaviors than those who study single shift. Objective: To analyze the impact of full-time and semi-full-time school on the level of physical activity and sedentary behavior in adolescents. Methodology: Cross-sectional epidemiological study of statewide and school-based. The sample consisted of high school students from public schools in the state of Pernambuco, of both sexes. Result It has been found that adolescents who study full-time are more likely to have excessive computer exposure, to sit longer and to have low physical activity, regardless of gender and age. Conclusion: Adolescents studying in full-time schools show greater exposure to sedentary behavior and lower levels of physical activity.
