In-Beam Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy Of Level Structure In Ba-134
HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS AND NUCLEAR PHYSICS-CHINESE EDITION(2004)
Abstract
Excited states of Ba-134, populated up to medium and high spins via the heavy-ion induced Te-128(B-10, 1p3n) Ba-134 reaction at 46 MeV beam energy, have been studied using in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy techniques. Nine anti-Compton HPGe detectors were employed for the measurements of gamma-gamma-t coincidences. Based on the results of the gamma-gamma coincidence relationships, relative intensities and ADO ratios, a level scheme of Ba-134 has been established. Comparing with the systemic features of the negative bands of N = 78 isotones, the 11(-) state at the excitation energy of 4142keV, is analogous to the one in Ce-136.
