Microstructure And Properties Of Ceo2 Doped Ni-Based Coatings Prepared By Laser Cladding

In this paper, the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of laser cladding Ni-based coatings on TC4 alloy surface were studied by adding rare earth CeO2 into the cladding powder. Nine groups of orthogonal experiments were designed by controlling laser power and scanning speed to explore the effect of the two important process parameters on laser cladding quality of rare earth CeO2 doped. The experimental results show that within the investigation range, the increases of laser power and scanning speed hardly led to the change of phases in the cladding layer. When the laser power was 1000 W and the scanning speed was 600 mm/min, the content of TiC was the highest, the grains of the cladding layer were obviously finer and the cracks were obviously less than those of the samples under other conditions. Under this condition, the microhardness of the cladding layer was also generally higher and the corrosion resistance was the best.
