Effects Of Sandoz9789 On Growth And Pigment Content Of Chlorella-Protothecoides Grown Under 2 Different Light Intensities

Chlorella protothecoides were grown in the presence of various concentrations (0-300 muM) of SANDOZ9789 under 2000 and 4000 lux light intensities. Cell number was markedly inhibited when the cells were grown in the presence of SANDOZ 9789 at both intensities. Chlorophyll content, carotenoid content on culture volume basis and chlorophyll a/b were decreased in the treated culture as compared to the control.
