摘要
In this paper, the experimental and simulation studies are carried out for the four different head structures of small-caliber rod penetrator oblique penetrating into three-layer laminated target. 3D numerical simulation is carried out for the corresponding penetrator of structure penetration process by LS-DYNA. For the penetrators with the same quality and diameter but different types of head structures, the ability of their penetration is assessed by crater formed in the erosion of invalid quality as well as the kinetic energy behind target. Through the description of the penetration, the changing rules of kinetic energy with time are obtained for different head structural penetrators respectively. The experimental and simulation results indicate that the head structures are influential for crater formed at certain speed range, and then the process of crater formation will directly affect the subsequent process of penetration and armor-piercing power. From the investigation, it is found that aluminum ogive armor-piercing block head of structure is the most favorable in the three-layer laminated targets of penetration. After a series of studies, the most effective head structure for penetration ability is obtained, which will serve as a reference to optimize the structure of the other similar penetrators.
