Reliable Multicast Of Video Streams In Wireless Mesh Networks

For video streaming services with packet loss characteristics of tolerance, an application-layer reliable multicast transport protocol-UNAK been proposed. The recovery of this protocol begins with the receiver's detection of packet loss by packet's number, and the second step of it is to Estimate the number of packet loss if packet loss sustained, and return emergency NAK to sender for retransmission. Performance analysis results show that the protocol allows the recipient of the feedback information packet number dropped sharply and the retransmission delay reduced.
