Construction of the input output matrix for the province esmeraldas, republic of ecuador

In order to achieve sustainable economic development consistent with the 17 objectives of the United Nations Agenda 2030, Ecuador must transform its primary export economic model into one of diversified economy. The objective the paper is evaluate the inter sectorial relations of the current productive matrix the province Esmeraldas using the input-output model as sectorial management tool, which made it possible to elaborate the input-output matrix of province and evaluate its current economic potential. The 44 sectors that make up its current economic structure were classified and the sectors with the largest and smallest productive linkages were identified. In addition, discontinuity in the productive linkages were identified and public policies were formulated to contribute the change of productive matrix.
