Opposite Curriculum

Problem: This theoretical study addresses the factual and intellectual bases of opposite curriculum which was developed and introduced to the literature on education as a new and original type of curriculum. Embedded in legal and hidden curriculum, opposite curriculum can develop by taking advantage of the weaknesses of these curricula and turn into legal curriculum after passing through five phases.Objective: What are the similarities and differences between legal, hidden and opposite curricula? What can we say about the development of opposite curriculum?Method: Presenting a theoretical structure by reviewing the relevant literature.Findings: Opposite curriculum is embedded in legal and hidden curriculum; it becomes legal after passing through five phases.
